Eddie Friday played a big part in promoting entertainment in Aylesbury – not only music but also bingo, wrestling and other activities.

John Otway described Eddie as Aylesbury’s “grandad of rock” in the film Aylesbury’s Musical History, which includes an interview with Eddie (see around 5 minutes in).

In 1986, the Bucks Advertiser interviewed Eddie as part of a two page article:

Following his death in 1987, the same newspaper published a tribute. The paper later issued an apology for stating that Eddie had been married twice; he was only married once.
